MUNCIE, Ind. -- The City of Muncie Police Department has signed a contract to license New World Systems’ Aegis/MSP® Public Safety Solution on the Microsoft® platform to eliminate redundant data entry, improve crime reporting and increase overall efficiency. New World’s software will replace an aging system and help the Police Department achieve an overall goal of automating processes and reducing paperwork.
After a thorough review of public safety software vendors, Muncie Police Department officials selected New World Systems for their technology and vision. The Company’s stability and sole public sector focus were also deciding factors.
“Of all of the software vendors we looked at New World Systems was much more familiar with our agency’s needs than anyone else we talked to,” said Chief Deborah Davis. “And, New World is capable of providing the best solutions to meet those needs.”
New World will supply the Muncie Police Department with Aegis Records Management (RMS), Mobile Computing and Field-Based Reporting software, developed in-house using proven Microsoft® technology, industry-standard Windows® Server and SQL® Server. Advanced workflow built into New World’s applications will streamline reporting by allowing the electronic submission and approval of reports directly from officers in the field. This technology will keep officers on the street longer and will guarantee required State reporting is completed quickly and easily. The completely integrated solutions will also ensure that all information automatically merges into RMS, eliminating time-consuming data re-entry.
“New World’s software will save a huge amount of time for our agency,” said Chief Davis.
New World’s solutions will modernize operations for Muncie Police Department officers who protect and serve more than 67,000 city residents. The Police Department is looking forward to implementation, and a lasting partnership with New World.
